Project WILD is a joint project of the Council
for Environmental Education (CEE) and the Western Association
of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA). Project WILD's principal
sponsors share a long history of
conserving wildlife through education.
For
35 years, the Council for Environmental Education (CEE) has
been a nationally recognized leader in environmental education,
providing programs and services that promote responsible stewardship
of natural resources.
CEE
is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization founded in
1970. (Our mission is to provide environmental education programs
and services that promote stewardship of the environment and
further the capacity of learners to make informed decisions.)
To accomplish its mission, CEE supports programs and partnerships
for environmental education. A hallmark of CEE's co-sponsored
programs is its commitment to balanced, non-biased environmental
education. CEE's programs are among the most long-lived and
successful environmental education efforts in the nation.
The
Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA)
is a regional organization of public fish and wildlife agencies
in the western United States (US) and Canada. WAFWA is a professional
organization that serves a leadership role for member agencies
and their counterparts involved in wildlife management. WAFWA
has a longistanding record of interest and accomplichment
in the area of conservation education.
